[We seemed to have entered monsoon season in S West England this week… no style am I venturing outside to take outfit photos in this wind and rain! And then I'll be posting a few previously-unseen outfits in the meantime.]

It wasn't that long ago that we wouldn't have dreamt of wearing high waisted jeans (non that whatever denim brands fabricated the waistlines any higher than almost three inches beneath your navel). Who would take thought we'd all have something to give thanks Simon Cowell for where fashion'due south concerned? So I would like to thank him for bringing back high waisted trousers so our t-shirts stay tucked in, our tummies stay warm and we don't take to worry nigh builder's bum. Heaven.

This outfit was a bit of an experiment and the jury'due south out as to whether information technology'south worked; the waterfall style cardigan is one of my favourite pieces that I've worn to expiry over the last few years. I had the brainwave of wrapping information technology round and tieing information technology at the back to brand a crossover pinnacle – give thanks god for the loftier waist of my jeans otherwise I would have been entering serious dressed-as-lamb territory. I'm lucky enough to have kept quite a small waist over the years so I think I tin only about get away with exposing this much body at my historic period. The lack of cleavage and bare leg helps the decency level… I think. I hope.
